• Music and Wellness and Fiddlesticks

This week we’re going to take a break from our Music and Exercise series to share a little bit about some of the recent work that we’ve done with Music and Wellness at the PSO.

We’d especially like to share some photos from our most recent visit to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC (CHP). Two of our musicians, Penny Brill and Gail Czajkowski, visited CHP before their concert last Sunday. They brought with them a very special guest— the PSO’s feline musical ambassador to children, Fiddlesticks.

While Penny and Gail played a variety of classical, folk, and popular favorites, Fiddlesticks danced and took pictures with the children present. Children also played rhythm instruments and made crafts, including percussion shakers, during the visit.

We had a great time visiting our friends at CHP! Here are some of our favorite photos from the event.

We hope you enjoyed the photos. Be sure to come back next week when the Music and Exercise series returns with a post featuring the work of Tasha Huff, a Body Pump instructor at the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.
