Roger Ideishi is the director of occupational therapy at Temple University in Philadelphia. He works to provide community access and opportunities for children with diverse sensory and cognitive abilities. In this interview, host Hugh Sung talks with Roger for his program “A Musical Life” about how people with sensory and cognitive challenges face challenges in interpreting the complex social cues in an artistic environment and how arts organizations can find way to welcome special needs audiences.
